Dorn and raised manual driver here, very rarely kill or stall the engine, it gets in your blood, muscle memory, you basicly becomes the automatic gear shifter, and waaay better than an automatic, cause you get trained as you use it, your brain is better than any machine at fine tuning the gear change, saving fuel the same way by keep rpm between 1 and 2k and occasionly kissing the red line which means the maximum rpm (where the red starts in the gauge) never above

Your comments on why the UK doesn’t do Bull riding or rodeos is simple to explain. The UK loves animals and therefore bulls were not designed to be ridden and stressed just like bullfighting in Spain. Animals do not have the same respect given to them in America compared to the UK. Even animals that are eaten, in America cows, pigs or chickens are a means to an end and therefore cramped pens or cages don’t seem to bother Americans and neither injecting chemicals into animals to boost milk yield or produce leaner meat. Thank goodness these procedures are banned in the UK and Europe, also that the products of these procedures are also banned from entering the UK and Europe.

Year old video but im gonna reply. I love how americans are always the ones offended in the name of other nations, or how they call you ignorant or racist or homophobic if you dont know something about their country, such as history of lgbt or black people and ignore that every country has its own history of these matters. Do they know history of others? I dont think so.

Thatched cottages are expensive to insure and are a high fire risk, plus it’s a dying trade to find professional thatches. These types of houses wouldn’t work in a lot of places in America due to climatic conditions and the fact most houses are made of wood and are flimsy to severe weather and are easily blown or washed away. Besides this for the average person brick or stone houses in America are far too expensive to build. As for air conditioning it’s fine in a car but not worth the cost for our short winters, I am sure in the areas further north were snow is commonplace they don’t have AC either. Costly and not everyone can have them as it causes sore and dry throats etc, as for combined water taps yes taps they have them in the UK as well but combined taps are standard across most of Europe. In reference to letter boxes we trust the postman or anyone else to approach our door and drop in mail or leaflets unlike in America where you can get shot or even killed for trespassing, so no thanks. As far as separate washing machines and dryers go Americas low voltage system probably couldn’t take two high wattage appliances from the same circuit without tripping the circuit fuse.

Closing window curtain or blinds is (or was when I was a child) a custom followed when there had been a death in a household. Buckingham Palace was where the king had lived when in London.

There has to be an option for US English because Americans butchered the English language. Americans asking foreigners why they don't celebrate Thanksgiving or Independence Day astounds me. How do you not know what it is you are celebrating? It's not like it is a religious holiday, it is a part of your history.

Working in hosting for some years i must say the vast majority of american tuorist are just nice friendly people, unless something bother them. Then they can become quite childish, but overall not bad at all. Hardest time i had was when they had to fill they country of origin in some paper (boring bureaucracy) and they kept writing the state and i had to correct it in 'USA', all they needed to write down. But i promise on the dumb side americans have quite some competitor. Like i remember this family from Korea who booked an apartment in a upper class palace from the reinassance that was (very respectfully) converted in apartments. They where very annoyed and shocket that the building, the stone reinassance building, had no elevator. They where like "in Korea no building is without elevator!" we replied "maybe in Korea no apartment building has 700 years of history.

So FIFA organises the World Cup, which is nation states. FIFA is renowned for being corrupt as huge amounts of money are involved in awarding the WC, like billions. And somehow Qatar got the 2022 world cup despite the fact that no one plays football there and it was so hot there they had to hold it in Winter for the first time in history.

I come from a small Southern town dominated by Southern Baptist thinking. I chose to live freely in New York City after graduating from college where I had taken courses in art history, French, German, and Italian, as well as some science courses. I became an italophile, and visited there several times. Once on a visit home, a friend of my mother dropped by. When I learned that she had recently been on a group-tour of Italy, I eagerly inquired how she liked it. Referring, I supposed, to the classical statues in the Vatican Museum and other places, she replied, "I got tired of seeing all those naked men"!

ASDA was never rebranded as Walmart and kept its identity when Walmart purchased the chain. That was an important difference to how they acted in the German market. Shortly after this video came out, Walmart sold most of its equity in ASDA retaining only a minority share and one seat on the board. In 2024 Walmart sold more of its equity and now has only a 10% share. So, expansion into the UK market wasn't so successful either. Aldi and Lidl, on the other hand, have been very successful in the UK market.

After graduating from college in 1971, I went to spend some time with a pen pal in France. I was a French major but not really fluent. I was immersed in the language and culture. I came from a priviledged background where hot runnning water was a given. There was a toilette for the hall, but no salle de bain. I decided to take a bath in the kitchen sink and turned on the electric hot water heater. My bath was interrupted because I was causing a "fuite" (leak) to the dry cleaners below. I abandoned the attempt but didn't turn off the hot water heater. Why? When my pen pal arrived, he was shocked that it had been on for hours. It was more my ignorance by not ever having paid a utility bill than arrogance, but years later I regret my actions. (My pen pal, Roger Krebser, went to work in the Cameroon to help make prosthesis devices for children who lost limbs to snake bite. He died of malaria about ten years ago.)

Around 40% of Americans have a passport. Here in the UK the figure is 84%, more than twice as many. Also our state news channel, the BBC, broadcasts a news program 3 times daily to the WHOLE of the UK. These news broadcasts typically include new/current affairs from all over the world as well as what's happening here in the UK. These BBC national news national broadcasts are the followed immediately by another slightly shorter new programme about the important new in your area. For instance, I live in London so I see the local news for the South East of England. But if I lived, for example, in Devon or Cornwal, I would see the news for the South West. I understand that the same is true for most countries in Europe. That's why we European's are, for the most part, so much better informed on what's going on in the world. People on this side of the pond always go on about how thick (stupid) Americans are. I don't think Americans are inherently stupid, It's just that they have so little access to what's going on, even outside their own state, let alone the rest of the world. Because of this, you can't really blame them for their spectacularly uninformed opinions or indeed, the way they mangle the English language!

Omg knew Americans can be arrogant but wow 😂😂 also I hate it when they say they saved the world during world war 2... If you look at history, the world could have been speaking German, if it wasn't for Britain, we inflicted the first defeat on Germany during the battle of Britain, D-Day was launched from our little island and we took out the German U-boats in the Atlantic so that you could get over 🙄😂
